1. Sample Analyst cover letter (for an experienced candidate)
Mr. Mike Bull
Dear Mr. Bull,
I am Raima Rake and am writing this letter with reference to the job advertisement posted by your organization on the job portal, 'jobhunt.com'.
I am a Jr. System Analyst, with Aptara Tech since two years. I went through the qualification and skills required for this job in the advertisement, and believe that my skills and interests match the organization/job profile's requirements.
Working as a Jr. System Analyst I have handled many projects and tasks - some independently, and some with the guidance of my seniors. I believe that my dedication, interest, and hard work in this field, will help me fulfill the requirements of your organization.
We could discuss this further if you give me a chance to come for an interview. I assure you that this meeting will be mutually beneficial and will bring out the best results.
Let me know a convenient time for the interview. I am awaiting your response.
2. Sample System Analyst cover letter for a fresher
Some organizations do need freshers to work as System Analysts with them. These freshers however, need to be qualified as per the requirement. In this case, the work experience would not be the main focal point. Here the candidate's academic and internship (if any) would be considered to judge him/her. In such situations, the following cover letter can be used.
Mr. Mike Bull
Dear Mr. Bull,
I saw Great Heights Solutions' job advertisement for the vacancy in the post of System Analyst, in today's California Times, and I wish to apply for the same.
I am a fresher. I have recently completed my course in System Analytics. Presently I am working as an intern with Gia Tech, since 3 months and am looking for a full time job. Great Heights is a renowned name in this field and it would be an honor for me to work with your organization.
I have always excelled at my academics, and even now working as an intern, I do not need much support, guidance or doubt solving. I am capable of handling doubts and issues independently and try to accomplish my tasks myself. However, when if I feel that some task or project is outside the purview of my knowledge, I never hesitate to take guidance. This helps me to learn and upgrade myself.
I have attached my resume and photocopy of my mark sheets along with this letter. Please go through it carefully, and consider calling me for an interview. This interview might just take away five minutes of your busy schedule, but it would give me a chance to prove myself, and work with some of the best minds in this field. I hope you would consider my request, and we would meet soon.
Thank you for your time.
