Also known as sales associate, he is basically the foot-soldier of the entire sales operation. His responsibilities constitute presenting product information and handling customer enquiries, taking care of the merchandise, inventory control and associated clerical work. This clerical work involves handling retail finance transactions (cash, checks, and cards), stocking the merchandise in the shelves, ensuring timely delivery of new stock and ensuring an effective shop display.
