Cover letter is an essential component of a job application - but most of the times a headache to write for applicants. Here I am posting some of the tips to write a cover letter.
1. The opening paragraph should include the post you are applying for, some of your qualities or strengths which make you a good candidate.
2.You can write one or two body paragraphs, but no more than two. The body paragraph should include your work highlights which are not mentioned in the opening paragraph. Write a section to describe one of your experience in detail. Tell what you learned in the job, how your roll was important and the benefits everybody had from you.
Do not discuss your educational background in detail. try to complete it in one or two sentences. you can ellaborate this section if you had fellowships or scholarships, etc.
It is not mandatory to include the name of your current employer. So you can drop name of your current employer.
3.Keep the closing paragraph brief and restate why you are a good cadidate for the concerned position. Include your contact information in the closing paragraph.
