Bursary Application LetterResume Cover Letters » Sample Letters » Application Letters » Bursary Application Letter Many schools and colleges or corporate houses have a Bursar's Office in the organization. This is set up to assist the students for their further development. Many schools have independent school bursaries. These have separate grants that they award to the capable or needy students, so that they can pursue their education further. It is similar to scholarship, but it can be awarded along with the scholarship, or after a student has been granted a scholarship to fulfill the further needs of the education. The student or the student's parents will need to fill in the 'bursar application form' of the school. In this application form, the student or the parents provide proof of their financial income. Along with this form, the student or the child's parents might have to write a Bursary application letter giving the necessary information to the reader. The form will have many sections, and many formalities; thus this letter would give a brief summary of your application. Let us consider two sample letters. In the first case, a parent is writing a letter for his/her child, and in the latter case, the student is himself applying for bursary. The purpose is the same; however there would be minor changes due to change of the person writing the letter. 1. In both the cases, the aim of the letter is securing a bursary grant. However, in the first case, the writer is the beneficiary's parent, and in the second, the beneficiary himself is writing the letter. In both the cases, the aim of the letter is very clear and precise. The reader gets a clear idea of what the applicant wants, and why. The supporting documents are very necessary to process the application further.
