Charity intent letters are drafted by those who are willing to donate a certain amount of money or other needs as charity to non-profit welfare organizations. You, as someone who intends to make a charity towards the welfare of the society, need to inform the particular organization about your willingness to make a donation for the social event. It is also a good practice to mention the name of your organization for significant future reference. You may also mention why you are interested in making the charity for it will give an idea to your reader of what kind of social activities you might be interested in and you will then be contacted in future for charity for such social events. Before you write the charity intent letter, make sure you know what the organization accepts for charity to make sure that you donate something that would be of use to them. Also respect the urgency of the organization and make the donation in a timely manner. Henry Drummond said, "You will find, as you look back on your life, that the moments that stand out are the moments when you have done things for others." So, if you are willing to make a donation, please treat it as a virtue of heart and do so without expecting anything in return. If you are expecting anything in return for your charity, then you are just being a businessman again. Such a contribution is called bartering and by any means cannot be declared as a charity. While writing a charity letter of intent, keep in mind that you do not sound dominating just because you are making a charity. If you do, there is no reason for your contribution to be appreciated. Always include your signature and your organization's credentials before ending your letter.
