A good service is hard to come by and only the most dedicated and enthusiastic employees can deliver it to their customers. A customer never forgets a good service and then tends to come back again and again to the same service provider. Good service can't be expressed in words. Different companies have different customer service policies and the customers too have varying levels of expectations but the basics to a good service remain the same. A service representative needs to service with a smile, along with empathy for the customer and an eye for detail. However, today there are far more instances of bad service than a good one. In case you receive a bad service or a bad experience while dealing with the company representatives, you may write a Poor Service Complaint Letter to the concerned official in that organization. While writing it, you need to be clear about the service that you had opted for. Also include very clearly who was the company representative attending you and how this bad service meted to you has affected you. In the end you need to state that what corrective / legal / punitive measures you expect from the company and within how much time. Poor Service Complaint Letter Sample Alan Brooks 10th October,'11 Clark W. Welsh Subject- Complaint about poor service at your shopping store Dear Clark, I must make this very clear right in the beginning of this letter that I am not much pleased with the kind of service that I was meted with while shopping in your store. It was just a simple shopping visit to your store which turned out to be a real shame and annoyance for me and my friend. On 9th Oct, '11 at around 3 pm, my friend and I visited your store branch on Fanning road here in Denver. We walked in with a plan of buying a nice pair of formal pants and some good shirts. We were on the 2nd floor in the men's section and were not able to find my size. So we looked for a store assistant somewhere nearby who could help us out in finding the right size. First of all, there was hardly any assistant on the floor. We had to take a complete round of the large floor to finally find 2 store assistants happily standing near the coffee machine and chit-chatting. When we approached them, at first they tried to ignore us. Anyways, my friend told them about the size problem and requested one of them, Mr. Jack Morgan, to find the right size. Very evident from Mr. Jack's face, he reluctantly came along and after just looking at our choice of shirt he said and I quote here, "If this isn't fitting you then I can't help. I don't have any other size." Saying this so indifferently, he just walked away rather than suggesting to us some other shirt. Now we were quite taken aback by such an overwhelming lack of hospitality by your valued staff. Not only this, but at the cash counter during billing, your cashier asked me for change. When I apologized to him about not having any, he without any shame, asked me to get it from someone. Now shouldn't that have been his concern; getting some change from his co-workers? I couldn't have been more displeased in life than I am right now with your staff. Stating this, let me make it very clear to you Sir that hereafter me and my friend won't be visiting any of your store chains again. I would most definitely like you to take a look into such sorry state of affairs of your staff. Maybe it's time for their lesson in customer management. This situation requires urgent intervention from your side before more customers get a bitter experience at the hands of your ill-mannered staff. Thank you for your time. Yours Sincerely (Signature) Alan Brooks In today's tough competition, no company can survive without a good customer service system. A customer holds the power to either make it or break it for a company. Therefore, it is suggested that whenever you are at the receiving end of any kind of bad service, write a letter immediately to the concerned authority with all the details and demand suitable action.
