A Catholic Confirmation Letter is written for a catholic religious ceremony in which a person goes through a series of rituals to accept Christianity. Through this ceremony, the person is accepted as a Christian by the Catholic Church and is bestowed with the new religious responsibilities. Children after their birth are baptized in the church by the priest. But people who have not been baptized yet, write this letter and get baptized in church and are then accepted as a Christian.

A sponsor is needed by such a person and that sponsor needs to be an adult and a regular visitor to the church. He can be a member of the family, a relative or a friend.
