A cold contact cover letter can be sent along with your resume if you are applying for a job in an organization that has not advertised any job vacancies. In this case, you are attempting to secure a job within the organization if in future there are any job vacancies. It is considered quite tricky to write a cold contact cover letter by most of the candidates as the job requirements are not specified and thus it is important to draft your letter in an efficient manner so that you successfully highlight your transferable skills and other technical skills required by the type of job you are looking for within the organization.

Stress on your skills and interests

In order to convince the reader that you are a worthy candidate, you should explain briefly why you are interested in applying in that particular organization. Therefore, it is very important to research about the organization very well, before you start writing your cold contact cover letter. You must try and zoom in on your skills that are most relevant to the organization's needs, thus making the reader see you as a deserving candidate.

Be Specific

Never prepare a generic cold contact cover letter for it will not work out. You must know the type of work you would like to be engaged in within the company and specify the details in your cover letter.
