Boss Farewell Letter

Leaving a job, leaving a school, a neighborhood, etc., is a very common situation in our life. At some point or the other, we leave our job and move on to take up a new job. Our colleagues do the same. They also move on. When a person leaves people and relations behind, to move on in life, he/she should be given a good farewell. A good farewell will help a person depart on good terms with all. It also gives a chance to the person, who is leaving, and all other people who were with him/her, to share what they felt being together, and how the departure would affect them. Thus, came in the trend of farewell parties and farewell letters. Be it your colleague, friend, neighbor, boss, etc., a farewell party would make the departure memorable. Writing a farewell letter:

When a person leaves, his/her departure should be peaceful and smooth because he/she is entering a new phase of life. Initially the word farewell was used only in terms of who leave, but now it is used for the one's who stay behind. The person, who leaves, gets a farewell from his friends, colleagues, neighbors, etc. On the other hand, he/she also bids farewell to his/her friends who stay behind.

One must always remember that a farewell should be pleasant. A person is leaving to begin a new life, a new phase of life, a new challenge, etc. In such cases, it is not advisable to be stuck with grudges, and depart with some bad thoughts and harsh feelings. Although, you might not like the person who is departing, and would be happy on his/her departure, you cannot be selfish to show the same. You have to be polite and wish him/her good luck for the future. Thus, when you write a farewell letter, you must remember that you have to be polite, and not discuss any harsh moments or thoughts that might give way to some argument or animosity.

Boss Farewell Letter:

When your boss leaves the organization, some of you might be sad, and most of you might be happy. Whatever you feel, it is important to bid a good farewell to your boss. If you are very practical and need a practical reason for the same, then this will help you. You and your boss are in the same industry and he/she might again meet you in some other organization. You will definitely not want to ruin your career owing to small grudges, or your misbehavior at your boss' departure. Thus, you must make sure that you give him a good farewell. The boss farewell letter will help you tell your boss what you feel, what you learnt from him/her, etc. If you genuinely feel that your boss is the best, speak up the same, or even otherwise, let him/her feel that he/she has been the best boss.

When I joined Exotic, I was a fresher. I still remember your lines when you said - 'I see potential in you, and so am giving you this chance.' I got this first job because you believed in me. I also got to learn a lot working with you, and under your supervision. At times, you were a strict boss, and at times, you were like a mentor.
