A fire department fundraising program would entail requesting and gathering of funds for the smooth working of the fire department and/ or for employee welfare programs. These funds may be needed for purchasing new equipment (new fire brigade trucks, hose pipes, uniforms, safety gear, etc). Fundraising is done in various fields- for social services, for administrative purposes, for event organizing and many more such purposes. A fire department fundraising can be both, a charity letter as well as a request letter to higher authorities asking them to allocate more funds. It is done by the department writing request letters for fundraising to various people and departments hoping to get their cooperation. The letter is precise and answers all the possible questions the reader might have in mind. The transparency of the letter and the request has to be confirmed by attaching the required permissions/ authority letters or any other applicable documents. This is an official request letter.
