Dear Ma'am/ Sir,

I am writing this distress letter on behalf of all the residents of Bonita Springs, calling for your help in these tough times when their city has been hit by fierce floods.

The city wide floods that hit Bonita Spring and neighboring areas on the 7th of November last week have caused havoc and unfortunately, a high death toll. Thousands of people have been rendered homeless and many buildings have been destroyed. A number of Immediate Response Teams have been deployed all around to carry out the rescue work but still the situation is far from 'under control'.

In these difficult times, I am calling out to all the people who can help us with relief work fundraising by donating whatever little they can. We are setting up medical camps all around the place to help the government medical staff in carrying out speedy operations thus taking care of more casualties with greater efficiency. For this we have already zeroed in the locations and have started whatever little work we could in our limited available budget. While the government is doing its bit, it is our, common citizens' responsibility to help the authorities in saving precious lives and contain further loss and despair.
