Everyone takes leaves for some or the other purpose, and it also happens that they need to extend their leaves sometimes, for some or the other reason. In such cases, you are supposed to write a leave extension letter. The letter is mainly written in order to inform your boss, and request him/her for the extension of leave. While writing such letters, you should mention the reason for extension of leave. The reason which you mention should be valid, so that you get the leave extension approved. Also, mention the number of days that you want as an extra leave with the specified dates. Start you letter with a polite tone, and mention that you need leave extension in the first paragraph. In the second paragraph, mention the reason for extension in leave. Finally, in the third paragraph, request your boss to grant you leave, and close your letter with a polite note. Also, keep in mind that these letters should be short and simple, where the details are clearly mentioned.
