Official document request letter is required for both personal and official work. In both cases, it is written to put forward the request to ask for an official document or a copy of the same. The letter can be addressed to either of government or private companies.

Depending upon the purpose and type of the official document asked for, the official document request letter can have many uses. In either of the cases, the letter should always be written with a polite language. While writing the letter, ensure that the letter is written in a formal style; and if writing for official purpose, it should be written with professional language, and as per the organization policies.
