Dear Bryan,

I certainly know that you certainly don't wish to be thanked for anything at all. And I do believe that such formal gestures are not required in friendship although my intension is not to thank you for being my friend all along, but to point out your significance, your role in making me stronger and realizing my true potential as a human.

Although this might seem mundane, but thanks for making me realize that partying and intoxication doesn't really have to do anything with friendship for it is just another delusional desire seeking our attention. I still remember asking you to go to a party with my friends on the first day we met in college and you shared this realization with me. Although a couple of my friends laughed at this, I certainly took the wisdom along with me.

There are many such incidents that imparted wisdom in me that has helped me reach out for my true self and get as far as I can from such wasteful urges encouraged and practiced in masses out there in our society. You have helped me realize what the real goal of human life is and how to progress towards attaining our true nature. You imparted all your knowledge and wisdom in me and that has definitely helped me to encounter and confront my ego, thus becoming immune to wasteful urges and inhuman emotions like anger, lust, jealousy, pain, sorrow, frustration, etc.

Your role in my life reflects in my awakening for you made me realize that being aware of the Divine is of no significance until we manage to turn the awareness into an awakening. Besides, our discussions have brought in ripples of a new promise in my life pushing me gently into the holy ocean of clarity that acted as a medium of transport guiding me beyond my senses to get closer to Divinity.
