Animal Worker Cover Letter

There is a growing awareness for animal rights these days. The government as well as citizens pay much heed to animal rights, and make sure that animals are not brutally killed or left unattended. There are specially people employed to work for these animals. These people work with government organizations, groups, or foundations working for animal welfare. The Animal Control Worker is responsible for looking after the stray animals, abused animals, investigate any mistreatment of animals, etc. In short, they make sure that none of the animals are left unattended, and pose a danger to the people. They make sure that unattended animals get proper treatment, and animals with severe diseases are isolated to avoid transmission of disease to other animals or human beings. Working at this position will require the candidate meet certain requirements. • Attend and capture stray animals, injured or sick animals, etc., using nets, tranquilizers, etc.

• Examine the animals for malnutrition, injuries, etc., and arrange vet treatment for the same
• Investigate animal abuse complaints, collect the required information and evidences, write reports, and put it forth for further inquiry or action
• Provide the animals with food, medicine, etc.
• Educate the animal owners about animal health and welfare
• Surprise inspections at the pet owners, and animal housings
